The CTA Workshops build collaboration among OCNE faculty and clinical partners who are together educating the nurse of the future. Workshops are supported by the Ford Family Foundation and the generous contribution of staff time from clinical partners.

Diane Bauer has been an RN nearly 30 years and has completed postgraduate work in information technology. Diane has led several workshops and taught many courses on evidence-based practice in nursing. She currently directs the OCNE Integrative Practicum and is the Clinical Coordinator for the OHCC MHCC project.
Paula Gubrud-Howe is Co-Director of the OCNE Clinical Education Project. Paula has over 20 years of experience in teaching and researching clinical education. She led the OCNE effort of designing a new clnical education model while Dean of Allied Health at Mt. Hood Community College and continues to lead implementation efforts of the new OCNE clinical education while in her new position as OHSU Statewide Simulation Director.
Mary Schoessler is the Director of Nursing Education at Providence Portland Medial Center and co-directs OCNE clinical education project activity. Mary has completed research and published on the integration of the new graduate RN into practice. She has over 20 years experience in nursing education in the acute care setting and has been honered by Nurse Week as an outstanding educator.Chris Tanner is Professor of Nursing at OHSU. She has conducted research on clinical judgment in nursing for over 30 years. She has authored numerous journal articles and books including the award-winning book, Expertise in Nursing Practice: Caring, Clinical Judgment, & Ethics with Patricia Benner. Chris has led the OCNE curriculum development effort. She has conducted numerous workshops on nursing education.

This program is approved for 7 contact hours. Providence Portland Medical Center is a licensed CEP provider through the California Board of Registered Nursing. "This certificate must be retained by the licensee for a period of four years after the course ends."
